GIFT mean Generations in Faith Together. Within the GIFT program, venues are chosen, centered around the church calendar, to learn about our faith in settings that bring together all of us, from the very young to elders of the parish. In December 2006, a team of parishioners attended a workshop to learn about this method of catechesis and since then have been planning how best to begin this at Our Lady of Lourdes. GIFT promises to help fill the need in our parish for ongoing adult catechesis while also promoting social events centered around our faith. GIFT is not a program; rather, it is an approach to creating lifelong, intergenerational, events-centered faith formation. GIFT does not take the place of PSR, nor is the only for "certain" individuals or groups. Gift is for you!
